Julian heads the Employment, Pensions and Incentives department for Osborne Clarke both in the UK and internationally. He
advises on the full range of employment and industrial relations law issues, and has particular expertise in senior executive
appointments and dismissals, restraint of trade, transfers of undertakings, industrial disputes and all aspects of discrimination
law. Julian is an accredited mediator with ADR group and is well placed to advise on how mediation can be used to resolve all types
of disputes. Julian has been Chairman of the Employment Lawyers' Association and he is a member of the European Employment Lawyers' Association. He is editor of Discrimination in the Workplace - A Practical Guide, and a contributor to Tolleys Employment Law; and to Croner's
Managing Equality and Diversity. Julian qualified with Simmons & Simmons in 1989. He was a partner and head of the employment law group at another City law
firm until he joined Osborne Clarke as a partner in 1997.
